What time are your service times for weekly gatherings?
Sunday: Service begins at 10:00am. Doors open at 9:00am, with most people arriving between 9:30–10:00am to enjoy coffee and conversation. Nursery is available, and children ages 5–12 are dismissed after worship for children’s church. We typically conclude before noon.
Wednesday: 6:30–7:30pm. Adults meet in the sanctuary, while kids and youth gather downstairs in separate spaces.

Which door do I come in?
When you arrive, you’ll find parking available on both sides of the building as well as in front. Facing the church, there is a large parking lot on the right, a smaller lot directly in front, and another smaller lot on the left.
The left side features the main handicap-accessible ramp leading to the front entrance, along with a side entrance that provides direct access to the sanctuary. If you are parked in front, simply walk up either set of stairs to enter the main lobby. (Please note: the downstairs doors do not provide access to the main services.)
-
What style of church is it?
In recent weeks, we’ve been opening our worship service with a hymn, inviting the congregation to join together in a meaningful moment of nostalgia. After that, we enjoy a brief meet-and-greet time before our worship team leads us in contemporary songs, often transitioning into a focused time of prayer.
We then move into practical, relevant preaching from God’s Word. While we’re not particular about one specific Bible translation, Pastor Sam often teaches from the ESV. Following the message, there may be a time for reflection or response before we close and dismiss.

Is there a dress code?
At Byesville Assembly of God, there is no dress code—come dressed in whatever makes you feel comfortable. Most people attend in casual clothing, and it’s rare to see anyone in a suit. If you enjoy dressing up, that’s great too. Whether you come in jeans and a t-shirt or your Sunday best, what matters most is that you feel welcome, enjoy community, and have the freedom to connect with the Lord.

Is an Assembly of god church Pentecostal?
Yes. Assemblies of God USA churches, including Byesville Assembly of God, are part of the Pentecostal tradition. That means we believe the Holy Spirit is active today—bringing salvation, empowering believers, changing lives, and working through spiritual gifts as taught in the Bible.
What Will That Look Like During a Service?
For most guests, a service will feel warm, welcoming, and centered on worship and God’s Word. You can expect heartfelt singing, prayer, practical Bible preaching, and opportunities to respond to what God is doing. At times, people may raise their hands in worship, come forward for prayer, or express joy and gratitude openly. Some services are calm and reflective, while others may be more expressive depending on the moment and how the congregation is responding. Will It Feel Strange or Pressured?
Not at all. You are welcome to participate at your own comfort level. No one is expected to perform or act a certain way. Whether you are familiar with Pentecostal churches or visiting one for the first time, you are welcome to come as you are and explore faith in a genuine, grace-filled environment.
